- MEA is commonly used as feedstock in the production of detergents, emulsifiers, polishes, pharmaceuticals, corrosion inhibitors, and chemical intermediates.
- MEA is also used in the production of soaps and surfactants, and as a pH adjuster in cosmetics and personal care products.
- In pharmaceutical formulations, MEA is used primarily for buffering or preparation of emulsions.
